Dear IWG members,
Following our successful partnership last year, we’re excited to announce that the Young Scholars Initiative in collaboration with WAPLAC – Network on Welfare and Policy in Latin American and the Caribbean – is once again launching a dedicated YSI workshop at this year’s WAPLAC international conference in Quito!
This year’s themes:
- Tax-benefit systems, redistribution and poverty
- Informal employment, labor markets dynamics and working conditions.
- Welfare programs and their impacts on education and health inequalities.
- Equality of Opportunity and Intergenerational Mobility
- Perceptions of richness, fairness, income inequality, and wellbeing.
- Political economy, voting attitudes, social unrest and the middle class, and other determinants of societal change.
This YSI session is a great opportunity to present your work, receive feedback, and connect with a network of scholars across regions and disciplines. Thanks to support from YSI, we will be able to provide partial funding for selected participants!
- Submit a full paper or extended abstract + a short motivation statement
