I hope this email finds you well.
Thank you kindly for yesterday’s meeting with the YSI team.
As I have promised, I reached out to the conference organising team with regards to the extension of the abstract submissions and I would to highlight the following points :
1.If the YSI community can submit by the Monday deadline we can work to find them some funding. But when you are submitting first week of October we cannot assist with obtaining funding but will have to find their own funding.
2.The organising team can give YSI special extension for until 3 October to submit. But you will have to look for your own funding.
3. Alternatively you can send us a list of those who will submit abstracts and a minimum of 10 names at least and their proposed titles or focus areas by Monday 22nd then we will assist with seeking funding. Names, country, institution, email and proposed abstract or paper title this will allow us time to look for funding. Then still they can submit on the 3rd October their abstracts.
We would like to encourage the YSI community to look at topics on: SSE, Cooperative Law, Worker Cooperatives (Labour), Cooperation amongst cooperatives between European and African coop movements, and African Union Cooperative Agenda
