ChatGPT and new AI based technologies challenges for researchers, policy makers and practitioners. A lesson from the Developing World

We happily announce a special session on recent progress in AI industry and AI based technologies impact on the economy, in particular for developing/periphery countries. This session aims to explore the effects of global digital economy on development considering global digital monopolies such as Google, Amazon and Microsoft, regional and local unicorns and promising start ups fuel with AI and big data mix. Moroever, this session will also highlight the transformative impact of technological advancements on the film industry, examining how AI, big data, and digital platforms have revolutionized the production, distribution, and consumption of movies, fostering innovation and reshaping the industry landscape.

The event will take place on August 22 at the University of San Martín (UNSAM).

The session will be held during the afternoon and divided in two parts; speakers will be from the academic sector but also from non-academic sectors because the goal is to connect different people concerned about the course of digital economy under the light of the recently expansion of AI based technologies capabilities.

We are excited to extend an invitation to young scholars to participate as discussants of the two parts of the event.
