A global conference and General Assembly of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) will be held from 25th to 30th November 2024 in New Delhi, under the supervision of the ICA’s Global office.
All arms of the ICA, namely:

(a) The four regional bodies;
(b) The eight sectoral organisations; and
(c) The five thematic committees

SOME AGENDA/TOPICS INCLUDE:

1. ICA’s global Strategic Plan: The General Assembly in Kigali adopted a ten-year Strategic Plan 2020-2030. This General Assembly will reflect on its’ benefits so far and lessons learned. The General Assembly will consider how to deliver more tangible and value-added solutions to the ICA member base from 2025-2030.

2. Cooperative Identity Consultation and Recommendations: hear the results of the global consultation on the cooperative identity and consider recommendations from the Board of Directors intended to strengthen and protect our shared identity.

3. Statutory meetings of the four regional bodies, eight sectoral organisations; and five thematic committees.

4. Exhibitions from some member entities of the International Cooperative Alliance
The four regional offices, sectoral organisations, and five thematic committees will run their various activities concurrently during the global conference and general assembly.

Selected YSI members will have the opportunity to attend and participate in conference and assembly activities, this may include serving voluntarily as note takers, rapporteurs, session anchors, session contributors etc.

WORKSHOPS STRUCTURE:
During the evenings, immediately after the close of activities, YSI participants will come together to share their diverse experiences, particularly from their attendance of various activities at the global conference and general assembly with mentors from the regions, sectoral organisations, and thematic committees.

The workshops will afford YSI members the opportunity to meet policymakers, scholars, practitioners, etc, as well as to meet and work with staff of the International Cooperative Alliance, allied international organizations, and host institutions in India involved with cooperatives and the social solidarity economy.

The purpose of the workshops is to deepen the involvement of YSI members; early career scholars and professional within the core framework of the International Cooperative Alliance, and the global social solidarity movement.
