The History of Economic Thought Working Group of the Young Scholars Initiative is excited to be holding a YSI Pre-Conference Workshop at HETSA 2024.

The YSI Pre-Conference Workshop will take place at Alphacrucis University College on 25 September 2024, on the eve of the annual History of Economic Thought Society of Australia (HETSA) conference to be held on 26-27 September 2024.

The YSI Pre-Conference Workshop is designed to welcome young scholars to the HETSA conference and to facilitate engagement with senior scholars prior to the commencement of the conference proper. YSI Pre-conference workshop at HETSA 2024 will consist of a Pre-Conference Session and a Pre-conference Dinner, to be held on either side of the main HETSA 2024 Conference Reception.

Programme for YSI Pre-Conference Workshop at HETSA 2024:

  • YSI Pre-Conference Session

The main purpose of the YSI Pre-Conference Session is to welcome Young Scholars to the HETSA conference. A particular focal point for this session will be the unique opportunities (and challenges) for young scholars to engage with the history of economic thought as a means to challenge orthodox economic thought.
