About the LALICs

The VI International LALICS Conference (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) aims to provide a platform for scholars working on innovation, development, and the economics of sustainability in Latin American countries to present and discuss their research. In particular, we will be part of the LALICS´ Academy co-organizing two working sessions that will serve as a unique opportunity for PhD students to engage with peers and receive feedback from different scholars.

The Academy will last two days (September 8 and September 9)[1]. It is expected that selected PhD students will attend the entire event.

Aware that traditional conference formats can be overly formal and discourage active participation from early-career researchers, we propose a roundtable-based approach. Sessions are designed to encourage an interactive and engaging discussion environment where young scholars can share their work in progress, receive constructive comments, and build professional networks within the innovation and development research community.
