Description

The first decades of this century have seen significant bouts of financial instability, private and public sector debt crisis, geopolitical tensions, technological innovation and the escalation of the climate crisis–all of which have led to adaptations in terms of monetary and fiscal policy, banking and financial markets. Although they have been discussed from different standpoints, they invite a more fundamental conversation about the adequate framework for analysis of money and finance in our time.

We believe that our time in Cres – away from everyday noise and obligations – will allow us to dive deep into this space and think through big picture questions, ambivalences (“gray areas”) and dilemmas that underlie the work that we do.
