About this workshop:
Join us in this interactive workshop as we explore the support and resources available for teaching new economic thinking. Jamie Barker from the Centre for Economy Studies will guide us through the options and materials available to us. Through practical insights and case studies, participants will gain strategies and tools to confidently incorporate new economic thinking into their teaching practices. This workshop is aimed at young scholars who already have some teaching experience, or who are preparing to start teaching in the next academic year.
Targeted at:
Young scholars who have begun teaching but do not yet have as much experience yet, or those currently planning a course but not yet delivered it. Young scholars who are interested in teaching but haven’t started yet are welcome as well, but they might not be able to fully engage with all aspects.
About Jamie Barker
Jamie graduated from the Economics and Social Sciences MSc at Università Bocconi (Italy) in 2021 and the Economics with Econometrics BSc at University of Exeter (UK) in 2018. He spent three years working at the Bank of England, initially as a research assistant and later as an international economic analyst. His main responsibility with ONE is coordinating workshops with academics to support them in changing the way that they teach economics.
