Description

Conference Session for Young Scholars at WEHIA 2024

We are delighted to announce the call for papers for the YSI Conference Session to be held alongside the Workshop on Economic Science with Heterogeneous Interacting Agents (WEHIA) 2024 in Bamberg. WEHIA 2024 offers an exceptional platform for the exchange of cutting-edge research in agent-based modeling and related fields.

About WEHIA 2024:

The Workshop on Economic Science with Heterogeneous Interacting Agents (WEHIA) is the annual conference of the Society for Economic Studies with Heterogeneous Interacting Agents. WEHIA 2024 represents a unique opportunity to present and discuss the latest research on various aspects of agent-based modeling, such as the use of behavioral heuristics, complex networks, micro-level interaction and macro-level patterns, and estimation and calibration of agent-based models. Research from different domains – economics, psychology, sociology, environment, computer sciences, engineering, physics, and the interdisciplinary domains of artificial intelligence – can prove useful in developing new insightful approaches to key issues such as the origin, development, and mitigation of economic growth, financial volatility, digital currencies, climate change, income and wealth distribution, to the issues such as the evolution of culture, the spread of information, the emergence of violence, and many more.

As part of the conference two PhD courses will be held: one will be given by Roberta Terranova, taking place on July 8th, and the other one by Maria del Rio Chanona, taking place on July 11th-12th. Participation is free: if you like to participate in one
