Description

The Urban and Regional Economics WG welcomes abstracts from Young Scholars to its activities during the  RSA KIRDSA “II INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN SOUTH AMERICA”, to be held at the University of Campinas (Unicamp), Brazil.

This will mark our second collaboration with RSA – KIRDSA Network (Regional Studies Association Research Network “Knowledge, Innovation and Regional Development in South America”), following our successful engagement during their conference in Montevideo, Uruguay. Their KIRDSA Conference “aims to bring together researchers studying the creation and dissemination of knowledge in the South American context and development processes with a territorial approach in the region’s countries”.

The YSI activities will begin with a “Paper Development Workshop” on the first day of the conference. This workshop will be integrated with the “Young Scholars Special Sessions” throughout the entire conference.

Our goal is to provide young scholars with comprehensive support and feedback to enhance the quality of their research papers and prepare them for presentation and publication.

Workshop Structure:

  • General Lectures by Mentors: The workshop will begin with general lectures delivered by our esteemed mentors. These lectures will cover essential aspects of academic writing, paper structuring, and strategies for enhancing research papers.
The mentors will share their expertise on how to improve the clarity, coherence, and impact of the young scholars’ papers, offering practical advice and guidance.
  • Interactive Feedback Sessions: Following the lectures, the mentors will engage in interactive feedback
