Description

The theme of this first meeting will be historical epistemology. Discussion will be based on the following references:

  • Feest, Uljana, Thomas Sturm. 2011. "What (good) is historical epistemology." Erkenntnis 75 (3), 285-302.

  • Stapleford, Thomas. 2017. "Historical Epistemology and the History of Economics: Views Through the Lens of Practice." Research in the History of Economic Thought and Methodology 35 (A), 113-145.

  • Daston, Lorraine, H. Otto sibum. 2003. "Introduction: Scientific personae and their histories." Science in context 16 (1-2), 1-8.

At the end of the meeting we will discuss the schedule of the next 4-5 meetings, where we will discuss Daston and Galison's Objectivity (2007).
