Description

This conference is an interdisciplinary meeting aimed at bringing together graduate students, early-career scholars, and experts in the fields of economic and world history from Georgia State and other universities in the US and abroad. Our goal is to facilitate conversation among participants on research themes/topics, methodologies and approaches, archives and sources, and global connections and comparisons. The conference features several panels with scholarly papers on a wide range of topics in economic and world history. Also, this event invites Şevket Pamuk, Professor of Economics and Economic History, Bogaziçi (Bosphorus) University as the keynote speaker. And it adds a forum for interdisciplinary academic exchange and collaboration among economic and world historians.
