CHINA’S LAND USE PLANNING AND POLICY

In the past two decades, the growth of new towns in China has been noteworthy. This project aims to analyze in depth what are the motivations behind this strategy and up to which extent can spatial planning impact the economy? To better grasp this complex phenomenon, we will collectively conduct a SWOT analysis of this strategy, reflecting on its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.

Session 1 will focus on a recent article presenting an overview of the topic. Why is this topic relevant to think today's Economics?

The session will feature a 15 minutes presentation summing up the article's main ideas and discussion will follow. All are welcome!
