AQE is a membership body supporting the economics discipline to better meet the needs of students, academics and society. AQE provides opportunities including networking, educational resources and mentorship, to support student and academic development, boost graduate employment and create a community that is helping economics meet the moment. AQE ensures quality by supporting the economics discipline to be the best it can through teaching, learning and careers that truly meets the challenges of a changing world. This includes supporting courses to use the QAA subject benchmark standards for economics and to embed sustainability and promote diversity in schools of thought as well as in the student and academic body. Members can contribute to the development of a new accreditation for economics courses and related modules. Find out more on their website.
The launch will include a panel chaired by Yuan Yang MP and speakers Dr Andy Ross, Dr Wendy Carlin, Andy Smith, Shloka Murarka. It will be followed by a reception. This is a great opportunity for early career researchers to meet key figures within the economics discipline and sector, and for them to get involved with AQE from the beginning. Early career researchers from all levels can apply to attend, ideally based in and around London. Undergrad, postgrad and early PhDs will be prioritised. Apply to attend through this online form.
